DMEM/High Glucose, i.e., DMEM (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium), is improved based on MEM Medium, and has been widely used in the culture of various cells. This product contains amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, and other components necessary for cell culture, without protein or growth factor.
Application
DMEM/High Glucose is widely used in cells with fast growth and low adhesion.

Directions for Use
- Suspend the pouch content in 900 ml of ultra-pure water or water for injection grade suitable for tissue culture with constant stirring until the powder is completely dissolved
- Weigh 3.7 g of sodium bicarbonate powder and add to 1 LT of medium and stir until dissolved
- Adjust the pH to ~0.25 (pH 7.0 to 7.4) below the desired pH using 1N HCl or 1N NaOH, since the pH tends to rise during filtration process.
- Make up the volume to 1000ml with water
- Sterilize filter through a sterile membrane filter with a porosity of 0.22μm, using positive pressure to avoid the loss of carbon dioxide
- Aseptically add sterile supplements as required and aliquot sterile medium into sterile cell culture grade bottles
- Store liquid medium at 2-8°C till further use
