User Guide:
RNA Guard (RNA Stabilizing) Reagent
Immediate RNase inactivation
- If any precipitation of RNA Guard Solution is seen, heat it to 37°C to redissolve it.
- If still crystal were not dissolve loosen the cap and heat the solution up to 65°C for 30 minutes mix periodically.
- Make smaller aliquots.
- Heating the solution will does not affect performance of solution
- Use RNA Guard Solution with fresh tissue only; do not freeze tissues before immersion in RNA Guard Solution.
- Before immersion in the solution make sure to cut the large tissues in small
- Place the fresh tissue in 5- 15 volumes of RNA Guard
- Most of the samples in RNA Guard can be store at room temperature for up to 1 week without compromising the quality of RNA and can be kept at –20°C for longer
Do not freeze samples in RNA Guard Solution immediately;
store at 4°C overnight (to allow the solution to penetrate within the tissue), remove supernatant, then move to–20°C for long-term storage.
Animal tissue, Plant tissue, Tissue culture cells, Blood and plasma, Yeast and Bacteria can be stored easily.
