Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is a derivative of cellulose with acetic acid (the carboxymethyl group CH2COOH). Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) or cellulose gum[1] is a cellulose derivative with carboxymethyl groups (-CH2-COOH) bound to some of the hydroxyl groups of the glucopyranose monomers that make up the cellulose backbone. are cellulose ethers , derivatives of cellulose , in which a part of hydroxy groups as ethers with a carboxymethyl group (-CH 2 associated -COOH). The cellulose is obtained from softwood and hardwood.
Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose – Carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) or cellulose gum is a cellulose derivative with carboxymethyl groups (-CH2-COOH) bound to some of the hydroxyl groups of the glucopyranose monomers that make up the cellulose backbone.
