Product Description | Albumin, heat shock isolation pH 7.0: Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) is a protein widely used in research and industry. It has varied applications as an enzyme/protein stabilizer, a blocking agent, a cell culture media additive or a component in cosmetics. In the clinical laboratory, it can be used as a stabilizer for diagnostic reagents. Each of these applications requires BSA to have certain characteristics. For example, diagnostic reagents typically require material low in immunoglobins, while molecular biology reagents necessitate material free of DNase and RNase. In addition, the pH of the material and various salts that may be present can seriously affect certain applications. BIO BASIC INC. supplies several different types of BSA, each with unique characteristics and applications. They are conveniently grouped by the initial isolation method. |
