Principle
These are the coated strip of anaerobic indicator. Anaerobic indicator consists of Methylene blue along with stabilizer. The blue oxidized form of the dye methylene blue is converted in oxygen-free (anaerobic) medium into the colourless methylene blue complex. In the presence of oxygen the reduced methylene blue complex passes again into the oxidized form (blue).
Procedure
- Remove the anaerobic indicator strip from pack.
- Moisten the coated blue colored with one drop of distilled water
- Place the indicator along with Master GasPack(AAN001) in the anaerobic jar, with testing petri dishes or test tubes
- Also Follow the instructions from the Master GasPack(AAN001) insert.
Result
In an anaerobic condition the anaerobic indicator discs is decolourized after 5-6 hours (change of colour from blue to white).
Precaution
- For in vitro Diagnostic Use
- Do not touch to the test discs. Close containers tightly again.
