The Penicillin-streptomycin solution contains 10,000 Units/ml of Penicillin and 10mg/ml of streptomycin antibiotic with 200 mM Glutamine in 0.9% normal saline. This product is suitable for cell culture application to prevent bacterial contamination due to their effective combined effect on gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. Penicillin acts by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria and streptomycin inhibits protein synthesis by binding to 30S subunit of bacterial ribosome.

Application

The product is suitable to use for cell culture and it recommended concentration is 10 ml/L in cell culture. The end user must optimize the antibiotic dose for their specific cell lines and application

Storage

Store at -200C for long term, avoid repeated freeze thaw, Aliquots can be stored at -20° C. The Product must be used within the expiry given on product label.
